About Us The Dublin Media Centre has been in operation since 1995 and offers a range of courses designed and developed to meet the demand for highly-trained personnel in the Broadcasting and Media Industries. We specialise in provide reasonably-priced evening classes in the areas of broadcasting, media studies, news presentation and DJ Training.
The instructors on our courses are unique in that they are all skilled professionals, currently holding posts in the broadcasting and media industries - with the result that our tutors have years of experience to their credit. On account of their continuous involvement in Industry, they can prepare students using "real life" experience and skills, enabling our students to proceed into the workplace without delay. The
Dublin Media Centre is managed by Kevin Branigan,
and courses are run with the aim of providing 'hands-on'
practical experience.
We
also operate The DJ Training School, in association
with Star DJ's, Ireland's largest DJ company. The
DJ Training School was established to provide a
forum for young Irish disc jockies to learn this
exciting profession in a new and innovative way.
Some of the areas covered include technical skills,
voice projection, music mixing, DJ party games,
beat-mixing, music selection and more. Students
invariably progress to working on the Dublin DJ
circut.
